Video Editor for AstoldbySly Social Media Series

I’ve been collaborating with journalist Shanique to shape and grow her brand AsToldBySly—from editing her on-camera demo reel to producing content for her growing social media presence. One of our proudest projects is a portfolio reel that highlights her strength as an interviewer—anchored by her favorite compliment:

“That’s a good question.”

Alongside that, we’ve developed two ongoing series that let her personality and storytelling style shine:

🎤 Sly Diaries  a lifestyle vlog series that documents her travels and behind-the-scenes moments while covering major stories and events. 💄 Sly Tried It 

a playful product review series, starting off with her take on SZA’s new lip gloss line.

I handle the editing, color, and storytelling rhythm for both series, aiming to keep things stylish, engaging, and true to Shanique’s voice.

We’ve also created polished on-camera reels to showcase Shanique’s broadcast and digital journalism work. These highlight her ability to report, anchor, and interview—anchored around her signature phrase:
