Bio:

The RVA Duck Race Campaign was a fun and creative project that I had the opportunity to work on as a production assistant. The campaign was focused on the announcement of the return of the RVA Duck Race to Richmond after a 10-year hiatus. Our team was given a 6-foot inflatable duck and 100 rubber ducks to work with.

We spent three days brainstorming and searching for a humorous "aha" moment that would capture the attention of viewers. After we came up with several ideas, we spent three weeks in production. One of the biggest challenges was finding times that worked with anchors and reporters, but we managed to make it work.

As a production assistant, I helped out on set and shadowed during post-production. I also gave video editing a shot and had to meet each time limit of 10, 15, and 30 seconds. It took several attempts to get it right, but I was proud of the final product.

Overall, this campaign was an amazing experience. It was great to see our team come up with some really creative ideas and to be a part of the production process. I learned a lot from this project and am grateful for the opportunity to have worked on it.
